It would be a mistake to not thank PETROS PETROPOULOS SA and the ISUZU Business Unit Manager, Giannis Zampelis, who provided us with 2 ISUZU D-MAX vehicles in order to make the trip to Olympus. The two vehicles responded impeccably to the particularly difficult route that the team chose to follow on the slopes of Mount Olympus.

As part of the actions and measures taken by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection in order to limit the risk of forest fires during the summer months, EPOMEA members, with the support of the Municipality of Egaleo, carries out daily patrols during the afternoon hours at the Municipal Park “Baroutadiko” (in earlier years the a gun- powder factory was built in the vicinity, thus the name of the park), one of the few green lungs of Western Athens. All Volunteers have attended the Fire Protection Academy training program on the subjects of forest protection and fire-fighting for members of the Volunteer Organizations of the GSCP Registry.
