Search and rescue operation for a missing person in Arachova
At the invitation of the Municipality of Arachova, a deployment team with 10 volunteer rescuers and a rescue dog departed for the area of Arachova to assist in the search for 90-year-old Vroulias Ioannis., for whom Lifeline Hellas issued an emergency announcement on Friday. 8/5.
The volunteers of EPOMEA Municipality of Athens and Egaleo started the investigations with the first light. Members of EPOMEA Lokroi were also added to the mission. Overall, EPOMEA is operating in the wider area with 20 members in collaboration with the Police and the Fire Brigade, while the investigations are supported by a rescue dog from the 7th EMAK (Fire Brigade's Disaster Relief Unit). The search will continue until late at night.
